What is a Forensic Accountant?

A Forensic Accountant investigates and analyses financial evidence and communicates complex financial and business related issues in the form of a report and/or testifying in court as an expert witness.

More than just numbers...

Kilby Fox formed a specialist accounting function in 1990 to assist solicitors with forensic accounting investigations and expert witness reports.

We aim to deliver excellence, professionalism and consistency in our approach when interrogating financial data. Ensuring communication of financial information is concise and clear in assisting lawyers and other clients to resolve disputes.

We receive instructions not only from solicitors, but also individuals, partnerships and limited companies on both civil and criminal cases.

In 1999 Kilby Fox along with other accountancy firms, recognised the growing need for forensic accounting and formed the Network of Independent Forensic Accountants (NIFA). NIFA is a body of individual accountancy practices pooling their experience and knowledge across the UK and Eire to ensure that lawyers, insurers, police and individuals receive a high quality, consistent and cost effective service.

As well as our own dedicated team, we can draw on the expertise of 18 Forensic Experts as a member of NIFA ensuring that we are continually improving and developing the service that we offer.
